Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a Neighborhood Plan?
A neighborhood plan is a long-term, guiding document that defines a community’s vision, goals, and priorities for the future. It helps the community make informed and thoughtful decisions about development, infrastructure, and investment.

Why is Roselawn getting a new Plan?
Roselawn’s last plan was completed as part of the Bond Hill–Roselawn Plan in 2019. This process focuses on Roselawn specifically — updating community priorities, addressing new opportunities, and aligning with citywide goals — to create an action plan that is ready to implement.

What happens if a neighborhood doesn’t have a Plan?
Without a plan, decisions about growth, investment, and resources can be disjointed, leading to missed opportunities and inconsistent development. A neighborhood plan helps guide investment and strengthen community priorities.

Who is leading the project?
Development of the Plan is being led by the City of Cincinnati Department of City Planning and Engagement in partnership with KZF Design and support from a Roselawn Working Group comprised of residents, business owners, and community leaders.

Who creates the Plan?
You do! The Plan is shaped by residents, business owners, and community organizations. Your input is essential to the success of the Plan. The City of Cincinnati and KZF Design help organize and analyze feedback to create a plan that reflects your voices.

How can I participate?
You can take the community survey, attend public meetings, explore the interactive map, post on the community forum, and sign up for email updates on this website. Your feedback will help shape plan recommendations.

What topics does the plan cover?
The plan will address topics such as housing, transportation, land use, economic development, public services, safety, parks and public spaces, connectivity, community facilities, and overall neighborhood quality of life.

When will the plan be completed?
The plan will be developed over the next 9 months, with community engagement opportunities throughout the process. A final draft is expected in Summer 2026.
